Getting Credit for Dungeons and Quests
Like many others here I participated in the preview weekend and accomplished a fair amount. I did every quest and dungeon I could find...however, the Hero's Handbook and the Master Dungeon Guide were not available and now that I have them, I find that I've not been given credit in these books for the primary quests and the dungeons that I finished. They're marked on my map, but since I didn't have the books, they weren't written in there. Is there anyway, besides redoing those quests and dungeons, to get credit for them, or am I stuck with slogging through them all over again?
(Note I did a search under Hero's Handbooks and Master Dungeon Guide to see if there was anything like this already posted, but I couldn't find anything)

the reason why you didnt get credit is because you can keep filling the books and handing them in for faction points as many times as you like. so anything you ddi before the book wouldnt be in there

Thanks Exoudeous, I understand that, but it's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if there is anyway of getting credit for having done them, without redoing them.
I've already done them once and the only reason why it wasn't recorded in a book was because those books weren't available. I'm wondering if ANet put in a way to give those that did quests/dungeons during the preview a break and granting them credit after the fact.

At this point, there's no way to get credit unless you redo them. Many people are in this situation, and unfortunately the only way to get the credit into the books is to have them with you when you do the quests and dungeons. Yes, it's frustrating... I myself redid the Norn quests, but haven't yet redone the dungeons because I really don't want to. Sadly, I realise that I'll have to redo those dungeons in order to get them into the book. You'll have to as well, unfortunately.

well i did explain it and gave you your answer. theya re supposed to be repeatd, if you could just fill them without doing it again, everyone would max their titles instantly

The book isn't that great anyway, in the end it only gives you 2,500 points.

yeah 2,500 isnt a whole lot, but at least its something.
oh,
and i guess this is kinda on this topic(kinda, better than making another thread to ask it)
-Do you get the same rep rewards from the repeatable primary quests and dungeons if you do them more than once?

Sorry guys, it's a bit offtopic but i don't want to open a thread for a probably silly question.
When we finish a dungeon by opening the reward chest a timer starts. Is it possible to do /resign or we have to wait until it reaches zero? In other words if anyone tried /resign please tell where did you get after resign.(a town or dungeon entrance(where you usually get the dungeon quest))

No you get half (or less) the reputation. I was hoping to get the same since Norn points seem a bit...lacking. Dwarven you get a ton just doing the dungeons after all.
As for the main point of the post, I've replied many times and agree wholeheartedly. Then again, I've already redone half of the stuff, but still..it used up time to do well...new things

Better then nothing.
Most people will try to complete each dungeon at least once. With the possibilities of green/gold drops + the exp/points given after each completion, 2.5K is plenty.

I had same problem; I was alright with the dungeons, as I still get rewards, the only thing that pissed me off was re-doing norn misions; took 1 hour to do all them though, not a big effort.

Honestly, do you want ANET to fix this problem so you can get like.. 4 dungeons filled out in the Dungeon Handbook and 3 quests filled out in the Hero's Handbook... or fixing bugs or making changes for GW:EN? It's not THAT big of a deal, either.

Considering my character already has the completion icons at the appropriate locations on the map and I can progress the story, I'd wager the data is already there.
I don't work there, but based on the fact my character already obviously has the data available and it's displayed visually on the map, it doesn't seem like it'd be that difficult or time consuming to add that particular data to one item, those books. I mean it's already added to the map after all.
My guess is it's a simple variable of "yes or no" (1 or 0) on the completion variable per entry or something along those lines. What's so difficult to go "If you have this already...put a 1 here too?"
